      I suppose that you want to know a little more about me and my background either becuase we are working together, your child is a student of mine, or you are a student of mine. Either way this page is desgined to just give a little window into who I am. 

       So I grew up in a rural area of Michigan and attended the local public school full of a bunch of other kids from the area. The school was pretty good, providing a quality public education. I graduated and moved onto Western Michigan University where I double majored in Secondary Education English and Secondary Education Geography. While there I studied abroud in a few places like the United Kingdom, and also learned to speak Spanish. I graduated in 2019 with a teaching certificate from the State of Michigan. 

       I believe in pushing students to reach higher goals, but helping them realize it's not all about a grade on a test. I try to teach them to think for themselves and be able to support their own ideas. If they can only memorize and repeat information on a test they won't be preparred for life. My job as an educator is to not only teach them about things in English or Geography but to hopefully help give them some skills they can take with them and use later in life.
